Jack was a great lover of German Volksmusik but also German Schlanger, Country and Irish music. German Volksmusik originates mainly from the Alpine regions of Germany and revolves around local alpine lifestyles and traditions, most notably Alpine Farmers. Volksmusik literally translates in English as “Peoples music”. As a traditional person with a farming / outdoor background there is no doubt that this music resonated with his outlook on life.
Below you can find some of Mr Streets favourite music tracks which he listened to often.
Top music
Bye Bye Belinda by Die Flippers and Annie’s song by John Denver are some of Jack’s most favourite tracks. “Bye Bye Belinda” was often played loudly at his home in Hordle and the family became accustomed to hearing the track over the years. “Bye Bye Belinda” is a track close to many of our hearts and we always smile when we listen thinking back on the memories and the enjoyment that this track and many other German Volksmusik tracks gave Mr Street.
